Pizza parties at Twitter may become a thing of the past as under Elon Musk’s leadership the company is selling off its kitchen equipment on the cheap.

What Happened: Twitter is auctioning a pizza oven and a high-end 40-quart kitchen flour mixer, which sells for $18,000. The bidding for the mixer starts at $25, reported Associated Press.

The fire sale includes other bric-a-brac like Eames chairs from Herman Miller and Knoll Diamond chairs — furniture that reportedly retails in thousands.

Also up for grabs are a Twitter bird statue with the bid starting at $25 and a neon Twitter bird light display — the bid starts at $50, according to the Press.

Why It Matters: Musk-owned Twitter has already been sued for failing to pay $136,250 in rent for its office in San Francisco.

Musk has been targeting cutting costs to not only alleviate a high cash burn rate but also because he needs to repay debt raised for his takeover of the company. The billionaire purchased the social media network for $44 billion.

The cost-cutting measures have meant that Twitter has let go of its cleaning staff at its New York offices. Janitorial services have also been canceled at the company’s San Francisco headquarters after that staff went on strike, reported The New York Times.

The result — dirty bathrooms and staff having to bring their own toilet paper to work from home, according to the report.

Despite the cost-cutting, banks that have lent money to Musk for the purchase of the platform are expecting to book losses.
