- This collaboration will help drivers ask Alexa to help them find and navigate nearby EV charging stations and initiate and pay for charging sessions at EVgo stations seamlessly.
- The companies plan to launch the in-vehicle functionality to Alexa-enabled vehicles and automotive accessories like Echo Auto later this year.

- Anes Hodžić, Vice President of Amazon Smart Vehicles, said, "By partnering with EVgo, we're bringing Alexa's AI and multi-modal experiences to improve the EV charging experience for drivers and streamline the process of locating, initiating, and paying for a charging session."
- While Tesla Inc TSLA owners can rely on its proprietary "Supercharger" network, drivers of non-Tesla EVs face a mishmash of competing charging networks, chargers that may not be well maintained, and apps that provide incomplete information, CNBC reports.
- "We want Alexa to be useful for customers in their everyday lives, and EV charging is a great example of a task that can be simplified and made more convenient through the power of AI," Hodžić added.
- Price Action: EVGO shares traded lower by 3.39% at $3.84 on the last check Thursday.
