- Renault ADR RNLSY is in talks with the U.S. auto dealer AutoNation Inc AN to begin selling Alpine sports cars.
- The move is part of a plan to boost brand building for Alipne cars which have sold only a few thousand vehicles, Bloomberg reported.
- Renault's CEO, Luca de Meo, said other options are also being perused to accelerate Alpine's North American presence.
- "It's not easy because we are not present in the US and we have to start from scratch," said de Meo.
- In November, Renault said it aims to become a Next Gen automotive company built on five focused businesses addressing all the new value chains.
- Renault's 2022 group revenue totaled €46.4 billion, up 11.4% from 2021.
