- Many franchisees raised concerns that the celebrities could diminish McDonald's family-friendly image as their lyrics and lifestyles do not match the brand's values.

- Meanwhile, McDonald's reportedly said the couple's promotion was meant to focus on love and to celebrate special moments.
- "Across our marketing, we're focused on putting McDonald's at the center of culture," the report quoted McDonald's U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Tariq Hassan.
