Before OpenAI’s AI-powered chatbot, chatGPT, took the world by storm, artificial intelligence was already picking up pace. Now, new AI-powered tools are making their way into this fast-paced ecosystem every day.
What Happened: A free-of-cost fast Caption Generator for Meta Platforms Inc.‘s META social media platform Instagram is creating a buzz on the internet. The tool is introduced by Hootsuite, a social media management platform.

Users, specifically social media marketers, simply need to select a style or tone that suits their brand or product from the dropdown list of over 60 options, including “casual,” “dry,” “direct” and “playful.”
After that, users need to describe the image or video they intend to post and, voila, an AI-generated caption will be created.
When asked about this AI-powered tool, social media commentator Matt Navarra said, “There has been an explosion in the number of tools which are ‘AI-powered.’ This free tool is fairly simple but useful for social media marketers looking for a quick way to generate Instagram captions.”
Navarra added, “These tools are no replacement for a skilled social media manager, but do offer a quick way to spark caption ideas when you’re not feeling very inspired.”
However, when we tried this AI-powered tool, it was apparent that while it is easy and free to use, it is nothing extraordinary and mostly gives some variation of tried, tested and dusted captions.

Additionally, if we compare it with chatGPT’s results, OpenAI’s AI-powered tool might have one-upped it on certain occasions.
