Ferrari's Italian Subsidiary Hit By Ransomware Comprising Client Data, Taps Cybersecurity Expert To Investigate

Ferrari NV's RACE Italian subsidiary Ferrari SpA suffered a ransomware attack on March 20.
Ferrari immediately started an investigation by tapping a leading global third-party cybersecurity firm.
Ferrari also informed the relevant authorities.

Ferrari informed its clients and customers of the potential data exposure and the nature of the incident.
Ferrari confirmed the breach had no impact on its company's operational functions.
"Certain data relating to our clients was exposed, including names, addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers," CEO Benedetto Vigna said Monday in a message to clients, Bloomberg reports.
No payment details, bank account numbers, or details of Ferrari cars owned or ordered were stolen, and the breach has had no impact on the operations of the carmaker, Vigna added.
Price Action: RACE shares traded higher by 1.03% at $265.19 premarket on the last check Tuesday.
