The market was up in January, down in February and back up in March for a volatile first quarter. The end result has been a good one: as of Thursday’s close, the S&P 500 cash index was higher by over 5% and is tacking even more on in Friday’s session.
In late December, the "PreMarket Prep" crew did a year-end wrap and preview of the first quarter. While the January effect was anticipated, our forecast didn't encompass all that has gone down in March.
Then again, who was predicting a global banking problem this month?
"PreMarket Prep" is back at it again from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, April 3 for a second-quarter preview. Something tells me it is going to be just as eventful as the first quarter, if not more.
