Drones are the key to ending the Russia-Ukraine war, according to Jim Cramer, and AeroVironment, Inc. AVAV offers the most advanced drone solutions.
"They make for more effective drones than anything else that we have in our arsenal," Cramer said Tuesday on CNBC's "Squawk On The Street."
What To Know: Raymond James analyst Brian Gesuale upgraded AeroVironment from Outperform to Strong Buy and raised the price target from $105 to $130 as orders for the company's drones have accelerated significantly.
AeroVironment has not seen the demand Cramer has been anticipating, but it looks like that might be changing, he said, citing the analyst note from Raymond James.
AeroVironment's Switchblade drone is superior to the Javelin drone, jointly developed by Lockheed Martin Corp. LMT and Raytheon Technologies Corp. RTX, he said, adding that he has personally tested one of AeroVironment's joystick-operated drones.
"These don't put you at risk," Cramer said.
"Anyone who has ever used it realizes that it's the modern weaponry and AVAV is the secret to winning this war."
Cramer noted there seems to be a sense in the National Security Council that the U.S. shouldn't be providing weapons that will hurt Russia, but "that day has come and gone," Cramer said.
"They have to be careful, the Russians. If they are going to replay World War II like they seem to be doing, they don't have Stalin ... how many divisions does Putin have? Not enough," he said
