Since Elon Musk acquired Twitter, the billionaire has faced criticism, backlash and whatnot for removing and adding features — but he has also been applauded for considering users’ product requests.
What Happened: Responding to tech tweeter Jane Manchun Wong, who said she wished the microblogging site would use a feature from Alphabet Inc.’s GOOG GOOGL online video sharing and social media platform YouTube. Musk said he would consider it.

Wong was talking about bringing a labeling feature similar to YouTube’s way of identifying public broadcast services like NPR, BBC and NHK from around the world.
Once again, netizens seem to be happy Musk is listening to the “average person” — although that might not be entirely correct, considering Wong has made a name for herself in the tech ecosystem.
Previously in March, angel investor Jason Calacanis, an early Tesla backer, requested Twitter roll out a custom tab on a user’s profile page with their top 25 tweets. Musk told him that such a feature would soon be “coming” on the platform.
Why It’s Important: Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion last year. He was criticized for monetizing the coveted blue check mark and allowing anyone to become verified on the platform by paying $8 per month.
During the initial launch of the Twitter Blue subscription model under Musk’s leadership, the site was overrun by a spree of trolls and fake accounts. It also became a nightmare for businesses and advertisers.
