  • Here's a look at when the interview will exactly air and what topics are discussed.

A highly anticipated interview between Elon Musk and Tucker Carlson is set to air in two parts on television this week. Here’s a look at how to watch the interview and what topics are discussed.

What Happened: Elon Musk — one of the richest people in the world and the CEO of Tesla, Twitter and SpaceX — is widely followed and recently became the most followed person on Twitter.

Over the years, Musk's interviews with Joe Rogan, 60 Minutes and others have prompted strong interest from fans and critics alike. Last year, for example, a multi-part interview with the Tesla Silicon Valley Owners Club shared details of the many inner workings of Tesla and SpaceX.

Musk is now the subject of a two-part television interview that will air on Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18 at 8 p.m. ET, as part of the regular time slot of “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Viewers can tune into Fox News to watch the episodes or stream them on the Fox Nation platform.

Topics to be Discussed: An early preview from Fox News lists several topics discussed by Carlson and Musk during the two episodes.

Artificial intelligence is a key topic and comes amid rumors that Musk is working on his own competitor to ChatGPT parent OpenAI with his recently launched company X.AI.

“AI is more dangerous than, say, mismanaged aircraft design or production maintenance or bad car production, in the sense that it has the potential — however small one may regard the probability, but it is non-trivial — it has the potential of civilian destruction,” Musk says in a clip.

Another key topic between Musk and Carlson is Twitter, the social media platform Musk acquired in October after first publicly unveiling his stake in it a year ago.

During the interview, Carlson and Musk discuss the “inside story” of acquiring Twitter and what the future looks like for the social media platform.

The conversation will most likely include details of Musk's decision to unban former president Donald Trump from Twitter, a Fox News article that previewed the interview suggests. The general unbanning of accounts on Twitter, along with Musk's recent battle with media outlets like the New York Times and NPR, could also be among the topics covered.

It is unknown if Carlson and Musk discussed any topics relating to Tesla and SpaceX, the two other companies that Musk leads.
