- Nissan Motor Co Ltd NSANY reportedly plans to launch seven electric vehicles (EV) models by 2026.
- The automaker also aims for 80% of the vehicles in its portfolio to be electric by 2030, reported Reuters.
- The company’s chief operating officer Ashwani Gupta said the EV market in China had passed the tipping point and people have started to accept the electric vehicles as their main cars.

- He added that Nissan’s challenge is to price the EVs competitively to fight domestic rivals.
- Nissan unveiled two EV concepts at the Auto Shanghai 2023, the Max-Out convertible sports car, which made its China debut, and the Arizon SUV, which made its global debut.
- The Arizon is designed to meet China’s diverse mobility needs. It also unveiled the e-POWER X-Trail, which started pre-sales in the market today.
