Course creation and e-learning company Amesite Inc. AMST is renewing its partnership with Michigan Works! Southeast (MWSE). MWSE is a workforce skills development association that has long been recognized as the leading provider of upskilling opportunities for the workers and employees of Southeast Michigian.
Amesite is an artificial intelligence (AI) software company that facilitates scalable, customizable educational content through its platform. The renewed partnership will focus on delivering training in AI technologies via the MWSE’s proprietary Learning Community Environment and will be powered Amesite.
Preparing Workers For A Changing Market
AI is predicted to cause major disruption over the next few years through “creative destruction,” the process where the introduction of a new technology eliminates the need for some jobs while opening up new opportunities for work. AI could replace as many as 85 million jobs by 2023, and in the process create 97 million jobs.
Executive Director, Michigan Works! Southeast, Shamar Herron, commented on the renewal, “The emergence of "new collar" jobs is a result of the power of artificial intelligence to increase the capabilities of all workers. In collaboration with Amesite, we are preparing our constituents to seize these skills-driven opportunities, by upskilling them in cutting-edge work practices.”
The vast majority of businesses report either adopting or planning to adopting AI as part of their workflow. 71% of those who have incorporated AI say it has already change their business operations, while 82% expect changes to occur because of AI.
That is what Amesite is offering, through its scalable, white-label online platform. The company has partnered with many institutions across the educational, private, and public sectors to deliver upskilling and reskilling content. Its demonstrated tech-first approach, like the recent release of Version 6.0 of its platform, allows the company to provide relevant educational content that keeps up with AI developments as they emerge.
