Streaming giant Netflix Inc NFLX was one of many technology companies faced with making job cuts in 2022. The layoffs came in the wake of the post-COVID 19 world, high inflation and a focus on cost-cutting.
For those fortunate enough to possess the skills that align with in-demand jobs at Netflix or the new positions they are hiring for, employees might be changing their outlook to Netflix, Chill and Make Bank.
What Happened: Netflix ended the first quarter with 232.5 million global paid subscribers, adding 1.75 million net new subscribers.

Co-CEO Ted Sarandos took home $50.3 million in 2022, made up of a base salary of $20 million, $28.5 million in stock options and $1.79 million in other compensation. Sarandos will receive up to $40 million in 2023, made up of an annual salary of $3 million, $20 million in stock options, and $17 million in performance-based targets.
New co-CEO Greg Peters made $28.1 million in 2022 as the Chief Product Officer and COO. In his new role, Peters will earn a potential $34.65 million in 2023 with an annual salary of $3 million, $17.325 million in options and $14.325 million in performance-based targets.
