According to a new Wall Street Journal report, some of the people in question met Epstein several times after he had been registered as a sex offender and served time in jail for abusing a 14-year-old girl in 2008.

CIA Director William J. Burns

Burns became the director of the Central Intelligence Agency in 2021, after a long diplomacy career that included service as the U.S. ambassador to Russia.

Burns had three meetings with Epstein in 2014, when was serving as Deputy Secretary of State under the Obama administration.

A CIA spokesperson told the WSJ that the two had no relationship and that "the director did not know anything about him, other than that he was introduced as an expert in the financial services sector and offered general advice on transition to the private sector."

After his meeting with Epstein, Burns left his role at the State Department to run the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace think tank, a role he held up until his nomination for CIA director.

Golman Sachs' Kathryn Ruemmler

Ruemmler is Goldman Sachs' Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel.

She served as Obama's White House counsel between 2011 and 2014, years before joining Goldman in 2020.

The newly revealed records show that Ruemmler had over three dozen meetings with Epstein, starting weeks before she would leave her White House role.

A Goldman Sachs spokesperson said "Epstein also invited her to meetings and social gatherings, introduced her to other business contacts and made referrals."

Linguist And Academic Noam Chomsky

Chomsky, one of the country's most recognized public intellectuals, known for his role in the development of cognitive science as well as major contributions in the fields of linguistics, philosophy and social sciences, met Epstein alongside former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, who met with the financier on multiple occasions.

"He often brought other interesting persons, from art or culture, law or science, finance, diplomacy or philanthropy," Barak said to the WSJ.

Chomsky met Epstein, who was a large donor to several universities including Harvard and MIT, several times in 2015 and 2016.

The documents show an appointment for Epstein to have dinner with Chomsky and filmmaker Woody Allen. Other meetings were revealed to include conversations about "Israel's policies with regard to Palestinian issues" as well as neuroscience.

Other Meetings

The documents also reveal about a dozen meetings between Epstein and billionaire banker Ariane de Rothschild, current CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Group, a Swiss Bank.

Joshua Cooper Ramo, a current FedEx board member and former co-CEO of Kissinger Associates, Henry Kissinger's consulting firm, had several meetings at Epstein's house, often scheduled after 5PM.

Orchestra conductor Leon Botstein, currently the president of Bard College, visited Epstein at his townhouse over two dozen times. Epstein never donated to Bard, although Botstein said that was his expectation from the relationship.
