Former New York City Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, dismissed a lawsuit accusing him of coercing a woman into sex and owing her unpaid wages, claiming it is a fabrication with exaggerated and “salacious details meant to create a media frenzy.”

What Happened: In court documents, Giuliani admitted having a consensual relationship with Noelle Dunphy "for a few months" in 2019 while serving as former President Donald Trump‘s lawyer.

However, he refutes her claim of being his employee and denies any allegations of pressuring her into a sexual relationship, reported Insider.

In his written response to the court against Dunphy's lawsuit filed last month in New York, Giuliani said it "contains a blunderbuss of contradictory allegations." Her "singular objective" is to defame him, said the accused.

Why It Matters: Last month, Dunphy accused Giuliani of engaging in repeated sexual abuse from 2019 to 2021. She claimed that he enticed her with the promise of a well-paid administrative job that he ultimately failed to fulfill.

Dunphy’s lawsuit included a screenshot of Giuliani's unwitting appearance from the film “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.” In that particular scene, Giuliani is seen lying on a bed, adjusting his shirt with his hand inside his pants, while in the presence of a young woman portraying a television journalist. According to Dunphy, Giuliani allegedly behaved similarly in his apartment

Giuliani objected to Dunphy drawing parallels between his conduct and a scene from the 2020 movie. "This is the very definition of a scandalous and prejudicial allegation," Giuliani said.

In the filing, Giuliani requested the judge to remove any mentions of him making discriminatory remarks regarding religious and ethnic minorities.
