The Tesla Inc TSLA vehicle user who previously shared their frustrations with Full Self-Driving Beta v11 and upgraded to a newer version after prompts from Elon Musk said on Monday that the update did not fix his issue.
What Happened: On Friday, the user posted a 21-second video and said that the car wants to take an exit even when it shouldn't. "Sometimes with a turn signal, sometimes without," the user said. After Musk responded asking if it was the new version 11.4.3, the user updated.
However, the problem remains unresolved. The vehicle still takes the exit, the user said, despite navigation directing otherwise.
“Hey @elonmusk as a follow up, this exit is still accidentally being taken on 11.4.3 when Nav says to go straight. Sometimes it uses turn signal, sometimes it doesn’t,” the user wrote on Monday. The CEO ‘noted’ the follow-up.
Why It Matters: The user also posted a video of his first drive after updating to 11.4.3 on Friday and said that it ‘felt very good’ with a ‘few hiccups.’ The car stopped too far back at a stop sign and has poor roundabout behavior but highway merging was great, the user had said.
Roundabout will get great soon, Musk had responded.
Version 11.4 started shipping to employees early in May. “V11.4 is excellent. Several days of driving to random pin drop locations in Austin. Zero safety-critical interventions,” Musk said after a test.
v11.4.3 started rolling out on Friday. "The rate of improvement is accelerating," Musk said on Twitter.
