Apple's AAPL flagship headphones, the AirPods Max, are now available at a discount on Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN for $449.99.

This is the lowest price for the product in 2023 so far.

While the Cupertino, California-based company did not announce a successor to the AirPods Max at its annual WWDC event, these headphones remain a great option thanks to the high-quality active noise cancellation (ANC) and impressive sound.

Powered by the Apple H1 chip, the AirPods Max delivers 20-hour music playback, with support for Spatial Audio when paired with iPhones and iPads.

These over-ear headphones from Apple sport a custom-built 40mm dynamic driver to deliver clean high-frequencies and deep bass.

These headphones are not squarely aimed at audiophiles who prefer lossless playback. The AirPods Max delivers a high-end audio experience thanks to the H1 chipset in each ear.

The AirPods Max also supports Siri and sports a clean design. Despite being heavy at 385 grams, the knit-mesh canopy and memory foam ear cushions offer a comfortable fit and experience. The headphones offer ANC and transparency modes, and the built-in Adaptive EQ delivers a tailored listening experience.

Apple claims that the AirPods Max offers a listening time of 20 hours, regardless of whether you use the headphones for music or calling.

Consumers may consider other alternatives, including the Bose 700, currently available at $298, and the Sony WH-1000XM4 for $278.
