U.S. stocks traded lower, with the Dow Jones dropping around 250 points on Tuesday. Here are some big stocks recording gains in today’s session.

  • DICE Therapeutics, Inc. DICE shares climbed 37.7% to $46.62 after Eli Lilly agreed to acquire the company for $48 per share in cash.
  • Quotient Technology Inc. QUOT shares surged 16.4% to $3.90 after the company announced it will combine with Neptune Retail Solutions.
  • SunCar Technology Group Inc. SDA gained 16% to $25.75.
  • Materialise NV MTLS gained 14.4% to $8.78.
  • Olema Pharmaceuticals, Inc. OLMA rose 13.7% to $8.91.
  • Valneva SE VALN gained 12.6% to $16.65.
  • Vera Therapeutics, Inc. VERA surged 12.7% to $14.50.
  • Cano Health, Inc. CANO gained 12.1% to $1.4007 after the company announced Dr. Marlow Hernandez agreed to step down as CEO, and has appointed Mark Kent as interim CEO.
  • Forge Global Holdings, Inc. FRGE jumped 11.5% to $2.04.
  • Lilium N.V. LILM gained 10.2% to $1.40. Lilium signed an agreement with Heli-Eastern for the purchase of Lilium Jets and the development of premium eVTOL services in China
  • Lumentum Holdings Inc. LITE climbed 10.1% to $63.62.
  • Surmodics, Inc. SRDX rose 10% to $27.60. The FDA has approved Surmodics SurVeil drug-coated balloon (DCB), a next-generation device for peripheral artery disease.
  • Newpark Resources, Inc. NR climbed 9.7% to $4.98.
  • CureVac N.V. CVAC gained 9.3% to $11.20. CureVac dosed first patient in Phase 1 study of cancer vaccine candidate for surgically resected glioblastoma.
  • Hut 8 Mining Corp. HUT gained 9.1% to $2.51.
  • SunCar Technology Group Inc. SDA shares jumped 8.1% to $23.75 after gaining around 4% on Friday.
  • Nikola Corporation NKLA gained 7.4% to $1.2785 after the company provided an update on its business optimization efforts. Late Friday, Nikola said it plans to streamline its operations and decrease its cash spend in order to continue to optimize its business.
  • Avis Budget Group, Inc. CAR surged 6.7% to $217.90. Morgan Stanley upgraded Avis Budget from Equal-Weight to Overweight and raised the price target from $182 to $230.
