Usernames
Username support in WhatsApp is currently under development, reported WABetaInfo. This will allow users to choose unique usernames, like what is possible on social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and others.
Screenshot Blocking
Users will be prevented from taking a screenshot of photos and videos which are set to ‘view once' by the sender. This feature has been under development for a while but is expected to become available this year.
Multi-account Support
WhatsApp has been spotted testing multiple account support within the app. This means users will not have to resort to using clone apps or WhatsApp Business to use the service on multiple numbers on the same phone.
Screen Sharing On Desktop
For Windows users of WhatsApp, the messaging service is bringing two features currently available for smartphones – message editing and screen sharing.
Video Messages
WhatsApp is working on letting users send 60-second video messages, allowing them to communicate more clearly with their friends and family. When the feature is rolled out, it will replace the voice message button currently sitting to the right of the text box in a chat.
