EV giant Tesla Inc TSLA has multiple features in its vehicles to thrive in the high temperatures this summer. Here are five features for you to try out.
Cool Your Car Before You Step In: Activate climate control remotely from your Tesla app and cool your cabin before you enter your car. One can simply tap the fan icon on the app home screen or click on “Climate” to set the temperature. In winter, you can also pre-condition your vehicle cabin to be warmer.
Maintain Your Cool: You can also maintain your cabin temperature when the vehicle is not in use by selecting “keep” on the climate menu on the touchscreen.
Cabin Overheat Protection: Switch on cabin overheat protection to prevent the cabin temperature from exceeding 105 degrees Fahrenheit. One can choose to decide if to use air conditioning for the purpose or blow outside air into the cabin.
A Way For Your Pets: If you have a pet you have left in the cabin, Tesla’s dog mode maintains a set temperature. To activate, select ‘Dog' from the climate menu on the touchscreen before you step out or click on ‘Dog mode‘ from the climate section of the Tesla app.
Ventilated Seats: Select Model S and X vehicles also feature ventilated seats which can be cooled using the Tesla app before the user enters the vehicle. Simply go to climate, select the seat, and tap on “cool.”
In addition to these measures, one can also get accessories like sunshades and make weather-specific decisions like mounting summer or all-season tires as temperatures rise. Or you can even lower your windows using the app before you return.
