This comes after Microsoft's decision to end Xbox Live Gold and replace it with Game Pass "Core".
Stallion83, or Raymond Cox, won Xbox Live Gold lifetime access for becoming the first gamer to reach the 1 million "Gamerscore" milestone 10 years ago.
Cox confirmed the upgrade to lifetime Game Pass Ultimate, which is valid for 40 years. The Game Pass Ultimate membership costs $16.99 per month, and for a period of 40 years, it is worth $8,155. Not too shabby for being a dedicated Xbox gamer.
Goodbye Xbox Live Gold: Microsoft has decided to end the iconic "Xbox Live" after being used for over 20 years. August is the last month of its service, and it will end forever on September 1.
As a result, all gamers with an Xbox Live Gold subscription will be migrated to Xbox Game Pass "Core", which is the new baseline subscription that Xbox gamers will need to access multiplayer games. It also includes discounts, deals, and over 25 games, including Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, among others.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the top tier that includes access to hundreds of games on Xbox consoles and PC, apart from exclusive discounts, perks including in-game content, and more.
