DoorDash Embraces AI Chatbot to Revolutionize Food Ordering and Gain Competitive Edge

DoorDash, Inc DASH has leveraged an artificial intelligence-based chatbot to speed up ordering and help customers find food options.

The Uber Technologies, Inc UBER rival is working on a system called DashAI that it's testing in a limited capacity, Bloomberg cites developer Steve Moser.

The technology will help customers to get personalized restaurant recommendations with simple text prompts, adding an edge over its peers.

DoorDash commands 65% of food-delivery sales in the U.S. The AI chatbot could help DoorDash market itself as a more curated food-ordering service and make it more convenient and quicker for customers than scrolling through endless menus of food options.

Amazon too, has leveraged AI for faster deliveries and logistics, including transportation, where customers search for products on Amazon and to figure out where to place their inventory.

Price Actions: DASH shares traded higher by 0.88% at $86.80 premarket on the last check Friday.
