China, in particular, fears the potential of unmediated Starlink connectivity within its borders, given its tight control over the internet. Taiwan, on the other hand, is hesitant to use Starlink’s services as Musk shares close ties with China.

Musk’s Erratic Decisions Can’t Be Trusted: Adding to the unease is Musk’s perceived unpredictability in decision-making. His control over the Starlink network, which accounts for about 53% of all active satellites around the Earth, raises concerns for militaries and political leaders worldwide.
