• American Superconductor Corporation AMSC jumped 49% to $15.03 amid claims of a new superconductor from a group of physicists.
• Nikola Corporation NKLA gained 21% to $3.22. The company announced it was awarded an additional $16.3 million to support seven open-network hydrogen refueling stations.
• Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Inc. RYTM rose 19% to $21.24 following strong quarterly sales.
• Arista Networks, Inc. ANET surged 18.7% to $184.21 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly results.
• AudioCodes Ltd. AUDC shares rose 16.2% to $11.66 following upbeat second-quarter earnings.
• EQRx, Inc. EQRX shares gained 14.3% to $1.9550. Revolution Medicines announced plans to acquire EQRx, Inc. in all-stock transaction.
• Emergent BioSolutions Inc. EBS surged 14.2% to $7.86 after the company was awarded a 10-year BARDA contract for development of an Ebola treatment.
• Proterra Inc. PTRA rose 13.1% to $1.9109.

• Mativ Holdings, Inc. MATV rose 10.3% to $17.36. Mativ reported proposed sale of Engineered Papers business for $620 million.
• Douglas Dynamics, Inc. PLOW rose 9.8% to $34.10 following strong quarterly results.
• TETRA Technologies, Inc. TTI gained 9.8% to $4.93 after the company posted better-than-expected quarterly results.
• Varonis Systems, Inc. VRNS gained 9.4% to $31.39 after the company reported second-quarter financial results. Additionally, multiple firms raised their respective price targets on the stock.
• HUTCHMED (China) Limited HCM jumped 9.2% to $15.36 after the company reported a year-over-year increase in H1 financial results.
• SunCoke Energy, Inc. SXC gained 8.8% to $9.66 following strong quarterly results.
• Rigetti Computing, Inc. RGTI climbed 8.8% to $2.71. Rigetti Computing is expected to report second-quarter results on Aug. 10, 2023.
