The age of generative AI is here, and that has made it easier than ever before to create not only new digital art, text, and more, but it has also made it easier for malicious actors not just to copy your artwork but also misuse personal images to create deepfake porn videos.
While tools to manipulate photos and create deepfake versions have been out there for quite some time now, the rapid developments in AI with tools like Dall-E and Stable Diffusion, among others, have made it easier than ever before to create extremely realistic versions with just a few text prompts.
Looking beyond malicious actors stealing intellectual property, the threat of generative AI tools being used to create porn videos or placing someone where they were not and subsequently leading to them landing in trouble are serious issues.
Thankfully, there are tools out there that can help you keep your pictures safe from AI.

Best Tools To Keep Your Pictures Safe From AI
1. PhotoGuard
Developed by researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, PhotoGuard is a great tool that alters images in a very subtle manner that is otherwise not noticeable by the human eye. It acts as a protective shield against AI systems and prevents them from tinkering with these images.
If a generative AI system tries to tinker with these images, the result would be a warped image that is useless to the human sitting behind the screen and giving instructions to the AI system.
This ingenious system works very well to guard your personal image. The researchers have also set up a demo that you can check out to see how it works.

2. Glaze
Another handy solution is Glaze, a tool that is targeted at people wanting to protect their copyrighted artwork and style from being lifted by AI systems. Researchers at the University of Chicago developed the tool and cloaked images from AI systems. The group has set up a sign-up page for artists; downloads are already available for Windows and Mac users.
