Meta Platforms Inc.'s META Threads faced an outage on Wednesday night, and users flocked to Elon Musk's X, formerly Twitter — which is an irony considering the former was dubbed as "Twitter killer."
What Happened: Almost a month after Meta's Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Threads faced temporary outages worldwide, users on Wednesday evening once again saw error messages displaying on the app's homepage displaying "Post not available."

According to Downdetector, a website that tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform, outages reported in the last 24 hours peaked at 1,133 at around 11 PM ET on Wednesday.
96% of the complaints were reported about the app.
Meta did not immediately respond to Benzinga's request for comments.
