Locked Out By Disgruntled Musk? NYU Professor Galloway Claims X Account Blocked After Meeting Snub

New York University professor Scott Galloway has claimed he has been blocked from X, formerly Twitter, after turning down a meeting with Chief Twit Elon Musk, who considers himself a “free-speech absolutist.”

What Happened: Galloway on Meta’s Threads said that he’s been locked out for 17 days.

He cited an incident where a mutual acquaintance communicated that Musk felt he was being "unfairly attacked" by him and had expressed an interest in a meeting. However, Galloway found himself locked out of X shortly after he refused to meet Musk.

Galloway has been an active Musk critic, especially after Billionaire’s involvement with Twitter. He once told the Huffington Post that Musk displayed a "total lack of grace" in his leadership style at Twitter, even saying that Musk has a "God complex".

He also hinted that he might have supported Musk had the latter not been so contentious on Twitter, stating, "Elon would have been a legend … if he hadn’t started tweeting."

That’s not all, as Galloway has also commented on other Musk-related topics like the Reuters investigation claiming Tesla vehicles gave unrealistic driving range projections.

Galloway’s criticisms weren’t one-sided; Musk once replied by branding him an “insufferable numbskull” and even frivolously said that the best investment strategy would be to do the exact opposite of what Galloway recommends.

Amidst all this back-and-forth, Musk remains uncharacteristically silent, not commenting on the supposed Twitter ban or Galloway’s recent allegations.
