Honda-owned Acura HMC re-introduced the ZDX as a Google-empowered GOOGL GOOG premium EV with a 325-mile range, priced at $60,000, reports The Verge.
The ZDX, discontinued over a decade ago due to poor sales, marks Acura’s second EV following the 2024 Honda Prologue. Both vehicles, products of a three-year partnership with General Motors, are slated for delivery next year using the U.S. automaker’s Ultium battery.

While competitors such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes introduced numerous new electric vehicle (EV) models to capture a share of the market shaped by Elon Musk‘s Tesla Inc TSLA, Honda’s upscale division has patiently observed the landscape. The SUV arrives with sleek design and performance capabilities that position it as a formidable contender among the top electric vehicles (EVs) available today, Insider reported.
This translates to unparalleled rivalry for Tesla, which has lowered its prices multiple times this year, including a recent adjustment on Tuesday, in what seems to be an effort to stimulate consumer interest.
The ZDX incorporates styling elements from last year’s Precision concept car and will be the first model from Acura and will be available for exclusive online purchase.
The ZDX will be available in two trims of multiple variations. The base model A-Spec starts at $60,000 that provides a 340-horsepower rear-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive version. The Type S trim features a performance-tuned dual-motor powertrain, starting at $70,000.
