Not Donald Trump Or Ron DeSantis, Elon Musk Thinks This GOP Candidate is 'Very Promising'

Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk lauded the GOP presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy, describing him as a “promising candidate.”

What Happened: Musk shared a video featuring Ramaswamy’s interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson on X (previously known as Twitter), affirming his potential as a candidate to rival Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis.

“He is a very promising candidate,” Musk wrote in an X post.

Ramaswamy engaged in a discussion with Carlson, addressing the unique role he aims to fulfill within American politics. Carlson also called Ramaswamy “one of the best-versed voices in policy” he has spoken with.

In his conversation, he attacked the government's official 9/11 story, saying, "The government absolutely lied, the 9/11 Commission lied, the FBI lied."

Although, he said 9/11 is not the "main point" of his campaign. "We have to focus on the future of this country, but if I’m asked a question and I answer honestly based on the facts."

“I think there is a bipartisan consensus in this country right now that we, the people, can not handle the truth,” he said, adding, "Whatever the truth is, give me the hard truth," as he questioned the government on various issues including Covid-19, vaccines, Jan. 6 and Nashville shooting.

Why It Matters: At 38, Ramaswamy, the youngest contender in the presidential race, stepped into the Republican nomination contest in February, standing out as an unconventional entrant.

He is currently positioned at number three, trailing behind former President Trump and Florida Governor DeSantis. As a tech entrepreneur, Ramaswamy garners backing from 6.9% of Republican Party figures, a notable contrast to Trump’s commanding 55% and DeSantis’ 15% support, according to Real Clear Politics.
