Earlier this month, Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast challenged T-Series for a subscriber count face-off, reigniting an old rivalry that dates back to 2019 when the Indian music label dethroned PewDiePie as the most-subscribed channel on YouTube. Now it appears that he is making good on his promise.
What Happened: In a stunning series of events, YouTube sensation MrBeast has established an unprecedented record.
For three consecutive weeks, his videos have shattered expectations by amassing the highest number of views on YouTube within the first 24 hours of their release.
The latest installment in this feat is an Olympic-style game show, titled "Every Country On Earth Fights For $250,000!" — which has garnered 59.4 million views within its first day online, underscoring YouTube's resigning king's unwavering hold.
This feat is no isolated incident.
MrBeast’s last four uploads have each amassed more than 45 million views within a single day. This includes videos titled "$1 vs $250,000 Vacation," "$1 vs $1,000,000,000" and "7 days stranded at the sea."
Why It's Important: Donaldson isn’t merely in it for views. The YouTuber has made it clear that he intends to claim the coveted title of YouTube’s most-subscribed channel.
T-Series is currently the most-subscribed channel, with over 247 million subscribers. MrBeast is the most-subscribed individual and second most-subscribed channel overall, with more than 177 million subscribers.
