Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), faced an unexpected backlash during a surprise visit to the e-sport Valorant world championship final. Musk’s appearance was greeted with a chorus of boos and chants of “Bring back Twitter,” Business Insider reported.
A video of the incident posted by a user named Jake Lucky has since received over 7 million views.
The video showcased commentators discussing the prior game when the camera abruptly switched focus to Musk in the crowd. His brief appearance on-screen resulted in loud jeers that continued even after the broadcast returned to the game.

Musk attended the event at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles alongside his son. Despite the brief nature of his cameo, it sparked considerable online attention.
Musk’s controversial decision to rebrand Twitter as X has previously faced criticism. Analysts estimated a potential value loss for the company of $4 billion to $20 billion due to the loss of the Twitter brand.
