Donald Trump Says US Escaped 'Nuclear Holocaust' When He Made 'Deal' With Kim Jong Un

In a recent deposition, former President Donald Trump asserted that his diplomatic relations with the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un averted a “nuclear holocaust.”

Trump made these comments during an inquiry into his New York civil fraud case, which has recently been disclosed to the public, Fox News reported.

Trump emphasized his role in preventing a potential nuclear war, stating, “I was very busy. I was — I considered this the most important job in the world, saving millions of lives. I think you would have nuclear holocaust, if I didn’t deal with North Korea.”

“I think you would have a nuclear war, if I weren’t elected. And I think you might have a nuclear war now, if you want to know the truth.”

The former president gave this deposition as lawyers delved into the operations of his company during his presidency. Trump insisted he was minimally involved with the Trump Organization during his term and that his children were in charge.

Trump was the first incumbent U.S. president to meet with a North Korean dictator when he met Kim Jong Un in 2019. He recalled the initial tense exchanges, followed by an unexpected call for a meeting, which he believes could have led to a resolution in his second term.
