Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, responding to former President Donald Trump‘s recent social media rants on Truth Social.
What Happened: In response to a post by Doge Designer, a graphic designer associated with Dogecoin, Musk commented, “That sounds like a lot. Not sure they're all gonna be winners.”
He humorously added, “His (Trump’s) funny comments are better than the rants (perhaps advice I should take myself).”
In a post on X, a user called Doge Designer shared a screenshot of a news report saying Trump went on a ranting spree, posting a staggering 31 videos in just five hours on Truth Social on Wednesday.
“Your 1 video got 250 million views here. 31 videos = something like 8 billion views. No brainer,” the doge designer wrote.
The targets of Trump’s rants ranged from President Joe Biden to his own attorney-general, Bill Barr.

Why It Matters: Trump, who had been banned from Twitter for over two years, recently returned to the platform, now rebranded as X and acquired by Musk. The former president’s first post on the platform was a now-infamous mug shot from his booking at Fulton County jail, which he used to solicit donations for his presidential campaign.
This return was hailed as a positive development for X by media expert Beverly Hallberg, who stated that it could drive engagement despite Trump’s involvement with his own tech venture, Truth Social. Musk himself had previously described Trump’s comeback as the “best thing that can happen to X.”
