Given the pollution and other contaminants, cleaning the Apple Watch to maintain its appearance and functionality is essential. Smudges and smears appear quite easily on the Apple Watch if you have a silicone strap, but even the nylon and leather straps have to be cleaned eventually.
Thankfully, there are several easy solutions to clean your Apple Watch bands. Whether it's a stain or a stubborn mark that refuses to go, you can just follow these simple steps to make your Apple Watch band look brand new again.

How To Clean Apple Watch Band
First things first, before you start cleaning your Apple Watch, switch it off to avoid accidental touches and ensure it is disconnected from the charger.
Now that the Apple Watch has been powered off let's get down to the cleaning process:
1. Remove The Bands
Flip the Apple Watch and look for two buttons on the watch’s underside. Press and hold each of the buttons to remove their respective bands.
2. Clean The Apple Watch
Use a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth to wipe your Apple Watch and the bands. Apple recommends lightly dampening the cloth with fresh water and wiping the watch clean if there are stains.
Once done, dry the Apple Watch with a lint-free cloth.
3. Cleaning The Debris
If some substances or debris are lodged in the speaker ports, Apple says you can clean the Apple Watch under warm, fresh, and lightly running water.
Use a lint-free cloth to dry the watch.
4. Clean The Digital Crown
If the digital crown is stuck or doesn't move, check if any debris is lodged, then simply hold the Apple Watch's digital crown under lightly running warm and fresh water.
While doing so, press the crown and turn it until it is clean.
Make sure you dry the watch after you're done cleaning the crown.
5. Cleaning Apple Watch Bands
Leather Bands
Use a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth to wipe them clean for leather bands. If needed, you can slightly dampen the cloth and clean the band.
Never soak leather bands – they are not water-resistant.
Let the leather bands dry thoroughly before you attach them to the Apple Watch again. However, don't place them under direct sunlight or in high humidity or temperatures.
Silicone Bands
Silicone bands are relatively easy to clean – simply use a lint-free cloth and slightly dampen if necessary. Apple says you can also use a mild soap for cleaning if needed.
Dry the bands before attaching them to the Apple Watch.
Stainless Steel Bands
Be a little careful with stainless steel bands while cleaning them – don't use abrasive materials, or you could scratch or wear the surface.
Apple recommends using a lint-free cloth to clean the stainless steel band – you can slightly dampen it if necessary.
Let them dry before attaching them to the Apple Watch.
