Donald Trump‘s biographer, Tim O’Brien, indicated that the former president may have inadvertently implicated his son, Eric Trump, in a recent deposition.
What Happened: The lawsuit, led by Attorney General Letitia James, alleges that Trump, in collaboration with his children Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, produced misleading financial evaluations of their company’s assets.
One particularly striking accusation asserted that the former president had exaggerated the dimensions of his apartment, increasing it from 11,000 square feet to a whopping 30,000 square feet.
This exaggeration resulted in the property being appraised at an astonishing $327 million, a sum that, if valid, would render Trump’s apartment the most costly ever to be sold in New York City.

When asked about his current role in the Trump Organization, Trump stated, “My son Eric is much more involved with it than I am.”
"And I guess you could say on something major, final decisions, whatever. But I've been much less involved in it than … over the last five years, five or six years than ever before," he added.
O’Brien, speaking on MSNBC, suggested a possible interpretation of Trump’s response was that he was “throwing Eric under the bus” should any charges intensify, HuffPost reported.
"No decision was ever made in the Trump Organization without Donald Trump approving it," he added.
"I think at one point in the deposition, he describes himself as, ‘The most honest man in the world,' which is, of course, not true."
