A viral video featuring a crash-tested Tesla Inc. TSLA Cybertruck has been generating a bit of buzz on social media, offering a mix of intriguing observations and a sprinkle of humor.
What Happened: A TikTok video, initially shared by @ctllogisticsinc, has been circulating across social media, showcasing a rather “dusty” situation for the Cybertruck that was crash-tested in a ditch.
In the video, the truck sports some noticeable dust and cracks on its windshield and windows, but surprisingly, the cabin appears relatively unscathed. The real star of the show, however, is the Cybertruck’s notoriously famous wiper – seemingly invincible and causing quite a stir on the internet.

One user jokingly dubbed it the “Adamantium Wiper,” — referring to the fictional metal with which X-Men member Wolverine’s claws are made — while another quipped, “Instead of using 30X cold-rolled stainless steel, Tesla should’ve constructed the entire Cybertruck from whatever that wiper is made of.”
The sight of cracked windshields and seemingly shattered rear windows evoked memories of the Cybertruck’s unveiling in 2019 when CEO Elon Musk famously tried to demonstrate the “unbreakable” windows, only to have them, well, break.
Amidst the debris, one user amusingly noted, “I like how the windshield is messed up, but the wiper looks perfectly fine, lol.”
Another joined in, jokingly asking, “Weren’t the windows supposed to be bulletproof? How come they got smashed? Did they use the unveiling model?”
However, amidst the jest and jesters, several expressed amazement at the relatively intact cabin. One aspiring future Cybertruck owner commented, ‘Rolled over and still looks like that. Wow!’
Why It Matters: Although Musk has claimed that the Cybertruck is bulletproof, reports have noted that only the windows — and not the actual body — of the electric pickup truck are apparently bulletproof.
This is also not the first time social media has taken a swipe at the Cybertruck’s outsized wiper. In 2021, Musk took to Twitter to respond to comments on the component and said there was "no easy solution."
At Tesla‘s annual shareholder meeting in May, Musk confirmed that the Cybertruck delivery event is scheduled for later this year. Recently, Musk said that the date of the event would be announced once Tesla is “ready."
