Stellantis NV STLA owned Chrysler is recalling over 4000 plug-in hybrid vehicles, citing fire risks.

What Happened: The company has issued a recall for 4,129 model year 2023-24 Alfa Romeo Tonale and Dodge Hornet plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Owing to certain cables not being tightened properly, the electrical connections may overheat and cause a fire even when the vehicle is parked, the company said in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

As for a solution, the company dealers will inspect and tighten the cable connections as necessary, free of any cost to the customer. The company also advised vehicle owners to park their vehicles outside and far from the property until the repair is completed.
