Delta Air Lines, Inc. DAL shares traded lower Thursday. The company announced changes to its SkyMiles loyalty program.
What To Know: On Thursday, Delta announced changes which would simplify the way customers qualify for Medallion status.
Beginning Jan. 1 of 2024, only Medallion Qualification Dollars will be required to gain Status, as opposed to miles or segments flown.
Furthermore, Delta will be offering more ways to earn status, such as on purchases of car rentals and hotel stays booked on the company's website and with Delta Vacations.
The company also announced new Medallion status thresholds, based on Medallion Qualification Dollars, ranging from Silver Medallion to Diamond Medallion.

DAL Price Action: Shares of DAL were down 0.20% at $39.25 in the after-hours session at the time of publication, according to Benzinga Pro.
