Famed Investor Peter Schiff Defends Trump's Rigged Election Claims — He Was 'Trying To Make Sure The Results Were Accurate'

Renowned economist Peter Schiff defended Donald Trump’s claims over the 2020 election, stating the former President was seeking election result accuracy, not an overturn.

What Happened: Schiff took to X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday to express his view on the media’s portrayal of Trump’s stance on the 2020 election results. He stated, “The media keeps accusing #Trump of trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election. But if Trump believed the election was rigged and that the results didn’t reflect the actual votes, he wasn’t trying to overturn the results, but trying to make sure the results were accurate.”

This tweet comes amid ongoing discussions about Trump’s assertions that the 2020 election was manipulated.

Why It Matters: In a recent interview, Trump insisted that his claim of a rigged election was his own decision, stating, "You know who I listen to? Myself. I saw what happened.’

Trump’s campaign faced multiple lawsuit losses challenging the 2020 election outcome, with their baseless conspiracy theories dismissed. Despite this, Trump remains defiant and maintains his stance on the election results.

Previously, Schiff pointed out what he perceived as the Democratic Party’s double standards when it came to claims of election fraud in 2020.
