Only A Third Of Voters Think Biden Would Complete A Second Term If Re-Elected In 2024: Polls

According to a recent poll by CBS News and YouGov, about a third or 34% of U.S. registered voters believe that President Joe Biden would complete a second term if re-elected, The Hill reported.

Another 44% believe he would leave office early while 22% are unsure.

In contrast, 55% of voters think former President Donald Trump would complete a second term, while 16% believe he would leave early, and 29% are unsure.

On the subject of physical health, 43% of voters said only Trump, not Biden, is physically fit for the presidency. This figure is nearly triple the 16% who said only Biden is physically fit for the role.

The same trend was observed for mental and cognitive health. 44% of respondents said only Trump is mentally and cognitively fit for the presidency, while 26% said only Biden.

Despite concerns about Biden’s health and age, the poll found Biden and Trump are closely matched in a hypothetical election, with Trump leading by 1 point — 50% to 49%.

The poll surveyed 4,002 U.S. adult residents between Sept. 12-15 with a margin of error of 2.1 points.
