Jasmine Crockett Criticizes GOP's Neglect Of Trump's 'Shady Business' At Biden's Impeachment Hearing

At a GOP-led impeachment hearing into President Joe Biden, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) accused Republicans of overlooking former President Donald Trump's charges.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee held its first hearing since initiating an investigation last month. Republicans alleged that both President Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, profited from foreign business transactions.

Crockett, during her interrogation, rebuked Republicans for their interest in probing Biden but ignoring “Trump’s shady business dealings with the Chinese government, reported The Hill.

The Texas Democrat used a fact sheet from the Congressional Integrity Project to highlight Trump’s questionable financial transactions with China. She claimed that the Republicans were overly fixated on Hunter Biden, neglecting the allegations against the former president.

She expressed her concern over the lack of a tangible crime committed by President Biden, as admitted by the experts brought in by the Republicans themselves. Crockett criticized the GOP for turning a blind eye to the evidence, referencing documents found in Trump's Mara Lago bathroom.

Crockett firmly stated, “Until they find some evidence we need to get back to the people's work, which means keeping this government open so that people don't go hungry in the streets of the United States.”
