Donald Trump Takes Aim At Former House Speaker In Bid To Rally California Republicans: 'We'll Stand Up To Crazy Nancy Pelosi'

Former President Donald Trump, seeking to solidify his support among California Republicans, made sharp remarks against Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her husband at a state party convention on Friday.

Addressing a spirited crowd, Trump criticized Pelosi’s stance on border walls, and made a reference to the brutal attack on her husband last year. "We'll stand up to crazy Nancy Pelosi, who ruined San Francisco — how's her husband doing, anybody know?" Trump questioned, Politico reported.

The former President also targeted other prominent Democrats in the state, including Vice President Kamala Harris and Reps. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.). In his remarks, Trump remained mum on the subject of the late Senator Dianne Feinstein, who passed away on Thursday.

Despite having slim chances of winning the state in a general election, Trump noted the importance of California’s delegate count in the Republican primary. “Together we will reverse the decline of America and we will end the desecration of your once great state California,” he told his supporters.

Other speakers at the California Republican Party Convention included Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, businessperson Vivek Ramaswamy and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.).
