After Model 3 Refresh, Tesla Launches Updated Model Y With Black Wheels In China

EV giant Tesla Inc TSLA on Sunday launched a refreshed Model Y in China, a month after launching the refreshed Model 3.

What Happened: The new vehicle wields minor changes to its interior and exterior including the addition of black 19-inch Gemini wheels. The vehicle formerly had silver wheels.

The vehicle price remains unchanged at 263,900 yuan ($36,785.6).

Why It Matters: The new refreshed vehicle comes a month after Tesla launched the refreshed Model 3 in the country. The refreshed Model 3 was, however, priced 12% higher than the former at 259,900 yuan ($36,228) and bore significantly more changes to its design. Yet, it continues to be the cheapest car from Tesla’s lineup.
