A Tesla TSLA Cybertruck was recently seen accelerating from a standstill, with its speed comparable to a rocket launch.
As reported by Electrek, a user by the name of Stumby on the Cybertruck Owners’ Club posted a video of the electric pickup truck showcasing its quick acceleration, a trait common in electric vehicles and especially in Tesla Inc. cars. This is due to their electric motors that provide maximum RPM in a fraction of a second.
The Cybertruck’s speed is not only a result of the electric motors but also a factor in car manufacturers’ attempts to achieve longer ranges with larger, more powerful batteries.
According to Tesla’s original specs for the Cybertruck, the base version can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 6.5 seconds, while the top tri-motor version can do it as quickly as 2.9 seconds.
It is uncertain which version of the electric pickup truck was featured in the video, as Tesla is expected to update the specs for the production model. The company is also expected to host a delivery event for the Cybertruck soon, where the final production specs are likely to be released.
