Trump Campaign Urges RNC To Cancel Third GOP Debate: 'Republicans More Concerned About Helping Joe Biden'

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign has urged the Republican National Committee (RNC) to cancel the upcoming third GOP debate in Miami, despite reports suggesting that Trump is unlikely to attend.

Senior advisors to Trump’s campaign, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, made the call for cancellation and suggested that the RNC should redirect its resources and focus on preventing “Democrats’ efforts to steal the 2024 election,” reported The Hill

“Anything less, along with other reasons not to cancel, are an admission to the grassroots that their concerns about voter integrity are not taken seriously and national Republicans are more concerned about helping Joe Biden than ensuring a safe and secure election,” a part of the joint statement read.

LaCivita had previously confirmed to NBC News that Trump would not participate in the third GOP debate. He also recommended the RNC to discontinue all future GOP presidential debates. Trump, who has missed the first two GOP debates, has given his leading position in the GOP primary polls as the reason for his decision.

The RNC, which is set to hold its third debate in Miami on Nov. 8, has yet to respond to the call for cancellation.
