On Tuesday, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk explained his unconventional eating habit: the “0.4 donuts” mystery.
What Happened: Musk took to X and shared a unique way of eating donuts, which, according to the tech billionaire, he consumes daily.
In his latest post, the visionary entrepreneur behind Tesla and SpaceX said he only consumes “0.4 donuts at a time” because his “brain neural network quantizes it down to 0 donuts.”
In the comment section, some people said that Musk is participating in the viral “girl math” and “boy math” trend.
Musk’s relationship with food has long been a subject of interest.
He once famously declared on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast in 2020, “I’d rather eat tasty food and live a shorter life.”
This philosophy appears to extend to his preference for a diet centered around meat and potatoes, along with other guilty pleasures like sushi, steak, chocolate, coffee, and caffeine-free Diet Coke.
In March earlier this year, in response to a physician’s assertion that sugar is harmful, Musk quipped, “I eat a donut every morning. Still alive.”
What’s surprising about Musk’s food choices is not just their unhealthiness, but also the fact that he has the means to dine on the most exquisite and health-conscious meals money can buy. With a net worth of $228 billion and the world at his fingertips, one might expect the richest man on the planet to opt for a more balanced diet.
Even more intriguing is that Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, is a registered dietitian with a degree in dietetics and a fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
An inadequate diet is closely associated with conditions like obesity, heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and specific forms of cancer, resulting in grave health ramifications like untimely mortality, physical impairment, and financial burdens.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation data, nearly half of Americans grapple with the affordability of healthcare expenses, although Musk himself faces no such financial worries.
