U.S. stocks traded higher Wednesday, with the Dow Jones gaining around 100 points.

Here are some big stocks recording gains in today’s session.

  • Sharecare, Inc. SHCR shares surged 20.8% to $1.13. On Oct. 3, director John Chadwick submitted a preliminary non-binding proposal to the board on behalf of private equity firm Claritas Capital, related to the proposed acquisition of all Sharecare shares not owned by reporting persons for $1.35 to $1.80 per share in cash.
  • Scilex Holding Company SCLX gained 12% to $2.33.
  • VOXX International Corp VOXX shares jumped 11.7% to $8.70 in pre-market trading as the company reported stronger-than-expected sales for its second quarter.
  • Golden Heaven Group Holdings Ltd. GDHG gained 11.5% to $8.90.
  • American Battery Technology Company ABAT gained 11.3% to $7.66.
  • Exscientia plc EXAI rose 10.5% to $5.15.
  • Empire State Realty OP, L.P. ESBA climbed 9% to $7.85.
  • AZZ Inc. AZZ surged 8.4% to $49.78 as the company posted better-than-expected results for its second quarter and reaffirmed FY24 guidance.
  • Dada Nexus Limited DADA gained 8.1% to $4.83.
  • Novavax, Inc. NVAX rose 8% to $7.97. Novavax will present study findings during two posters sessions at IDWeek 2023, Oct. 11-15, and three oral presentations at World Vaccine Congress Europe 2023, Oct. 16-19.
  • Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited HMY rose 7.1% to $4.55.
  • HUTCHMED (China) Limited HCM gained 7% to $17.39.
  • Sify Technologies Limited SIFY climbed 6% to $1.78.
  • Beneficient BENF rose 5.7% to $1.3003.
  • Groupon, Inc. GRPN gained 4% to $10.27.
