India's IT Minister Meets Intel COO, Talks AI And Semiconductors

Indian IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar recently met with Keyvan Esfarjani, the Global COO of Intel Corporation INTC, as revealed in a Twitter post. On Wednesday, the meeting occurred at India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

The two explored opportunities to augment the ongoing partnership between India and Intel. According to Chandrasekhar, the conversation covered a range of topics, including semiconductors, electronics, artificial intelligence (AI), global talent needs, research, and infrastructure enhancement.

Before stepping into politics, Chandrasekhar was part of the team at Intel that designed the i486 processor from 1988 to 1991.
