One of former President Donald Trump’s attorneys, Sidney Powell, pleaded guilty on Thursday as part of a deal with prosecutors regarding the 2020 presidential election.
What Happened: Powell’s plea deal comes with a $6,000 fine and six years of probation, according to the Associated Press.
She also agreed to testify against her co-defendants at future trials, which could include Trump. Powell, 68, pleaded guilty to six misdemeanors related to election interference.
Georgia charged Powell, Trump and others under its anti-racketeering law. Trump and the other co-defendants allegedly planned to breach voting data and more.
Who Is Sidney Powell? Prior to representing Trump, Powell was a practicing attorney for more than two decades.
In the early 2000s, Powell represented many executives involved in the Enron scandal, including former Arthur Anderson executive Jim Brown.
Powell also represented Trump's former national security advisor, Michael Flynn.

What Are The Odds: Trump’s recent indictments does not seem to be damaging his chances to win the 2024 presidential election. Polls still show him with a comfortable lead in the Republican primary, despite a recent push from independent Robert Kennedy Jr.
Betting markets currently have President Joe Biden placed as the favorite to win the 2024 election, with Trump close behind.
