CNN Analyst Tells Trump's Niece Republicans Are Playing Into 'Hands of Hamas, Iran And Russia' — Calls GOP 'Cannibalistic Piranhas'

Zinger Key Points
  • GOP members are the ones playing into the hands of Hamas, Iran and Russia, says Mary Trump's guest at one of her video interviews.
  • Mary Trump had previously accused her uncle of handing over Israeli national security secrets to Putin.

Mary Trump, the niece of former President Donald Trump, in a recent episode of her “Deep Dive” series of interviews, delved into the Republican party, its failure to elect a House speaker, and her uncle as well.

What Happened: Brian Karem, an author and journalist, who serves as a political analyst for CNN, appeared as a guest at Mary Trump’s recent Deep Dive interview that was published on Friday. Speaking with Mary Trump, Karem branded the Republican party “American terrorists.”

“You have the Hamas in the Middle East and you have the Republican party in the U.S.,” he said. They are the ones playing into the hands of Hamas, Iran, and Russia, he added.

Mary Trump in one of her earlier posts blamed her uncle for Hamas taking Israel by surprise in its recent strikes against the country. She alleged that Donald Trump gave Israel's national security secrets to Vladimir Putin, who in turn gave them to Iran, which passed them on to Hamas.

When the Republicans clamored for cutting U.S. funding to Ukraine to agree on a bill to avert a government shutdown, Mary Trump had said the GOP Congressmen were playing into the hands of Putin.

Karem, who serves as the White House correspondent of Playboy said, “Republicans kind of remind me of a bunch of a school of cannibalistic piranhas.”

Mary Trump quipped and said, “You give them more credit than I.”

Trump A Loser: Mary Trump and her guest also weighed in on Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-OHIO) failure to clinch the speaker post after three rounds of voting. Donald Trump claims he is the leader of the Republican party, Karem said, adding that GOP members weren’t going to elect the person he endorsed.

Donald Trump “has lost again,” he said. “One of the things that nags me to no end is the portrayal of Donald Trump as a winner, the Republican party as a winner,” he added.

Karem called Jordan a “termite,” which “chews things up and can’t build anything.”
